I am excited to go home to SLC for a visit to the motherland. I am more excited to just get in the car with Ingrid, Katrina and Will to rock the road trip. EXCELLENT

American Idol and Color Bias

I am watching Simon tell Little Lil' short for Little that she cannot sing country. Now I wonder if Simon is color bias to what a black singer on American Idol should sing. Not once have I heard the judges, Randy included, support a person of color singing country. Bottomline AI is NOT color blind, more like color bias.

OBAMA HAS ARRIVED

Today I had really mixed emotions as I watched the people gather in Washington today to watch history unfold. I was mesmerized by the joy and excitement that people emoted as they watched the first African American president be sworn into office. I too was moved to glow as my day progressed and I listened on NPR the play by play of Obama's moves through out the day. More importantly I stand proud to say that I saw a person first who can make a difference in my life and our country and I was a black man second. I am proud to be an American and I look to the future with hope for equality for all mankind.
